Jiren, also known as Jiren the Gray, is a member of the Pride Troopers. He is very powerful, even more that Universe 11’s, his universe, God of Destruction. Jiren values his Universe so much and vows to protect it no matter what.
Jiren’s beginning though is not so kind for his parents were killed by a villain when he was still a child. He was then trained by Gicchin who would also later on die due to the villain. Gicchin will be the reason that Jiren wants to have the dragon balls, because Jirin wants to make a wish on them to bring back Gicchin to life.
Despite being an antagonist and having immense amount of power, Jiren is generally calm and composed. He also prefers to fighting alone instead of with a team despite being part of one. When he defeats his enemies, Jiren chooses to simply capture them, and he has never killed an enemy ever. He also holds a lot of respect towards those who are as powerful as him but goes into deep disappointment towards those who are weaker than him.
