Vegeta, also known as Prince Vegeta or Vegeta IV, is the son of King Vegeta and is the prince of the Saiyans. Due to royalty, Vegeta grew up with a sense of entitlement and arrogance. He then started as an antagonist towards Goku and became his rival. Vegeta was born into a royal Saiyan bloodline and had a strong desire to become stronger than Goku. He was ruthless and would immediately kill anyone who got in his way.
However, he gradually began to change and for the first time, he spared the life of his enemies, which was then Krillin and Bulma. Ironically, Bulma will eventually become Vegeta’s wife. However, he still retains some of his old traits such as his arrogant attitude and ego and his want to defeat Goku was still with him.
Things shifted significantly however, when he experienced the danger of losing his wife Bulma and their son Trunks. This caused him to grow more compassionate and caring towards people. He decided to train hard, not so he can defeat Goku, but so he can see until where his limits are and so he can protect his family.
After this realization, Vegeta became a better Saiyan. He now wants to live peacefully with everyone else and wishes to be a good father to Trunks and later on, her daughter Bulla. He also often fights together with the Dragon Team.
