Frieza is considered as the main villain and enemy of Goku in the Dragon Ball series, repeatedly appearing to fight with the characters, especially the Dragon Team. He heads the Frieza Force and is feared by all.
Despite being dignified in the way he speaks, Frieza is generally brutal and is even proud of it. He also does not like affection, even from his father, his brother, or his loyal followers. In fact, he willingly sacrifices or punishes his loyal followers whenever he sees fit, often resulting to their death.
In the anime, he is shown to have a large ego, believing himself to be superior to everyone else. The only ones he is not willing to go head-to-head with are Beerus and Majin Buu who his father warned him about.
He was defeated by Goku and he becomes obsessed getting revenge. Later on, though, he develops respect towards Goku, even aiding him to defeat Jiren, a character more powerful than Beerus. This respect also gradually extended to the Dragon Team.
